Stanley

Stanley is the general manager of Pacific Beach Surf Shop and has been an integral part of the growth of all three store locations. He has been an avid surfer since 1943 and has a long history in the surfing community.

Originally from Oahu, Stanley spent time with Butch Van Artsdale, Buffalo Keaulana and Rabbit Kekai. He has surfed all areas in the islands, including prestigious Pipeline and Sunset Beach before it was considered more mainstream.

He has a great passion for ocean sports and can be described as an all-around water man. He was a member of the well-known Canoe Club of Hui Nalu. They dominated in the Molokai Channel Race and held a record in the fiber glass event for six, straight years. He also worked as a beach boy in the early 70’s.

Stanley moved to Southern California in 1973, where he found his favorite mainland surf spots at Sunset Cliffs and 8th Street in Del Mar. He continues to pursue his passion of surfing and is able to share it with others in his job at the shop.

Randy Strunk

Randy Strunk is the owner of Pacific Beach Surf Shop stores. He is a devoted surfer and great visionary. Randy has used his creativity and interpersonal relationships to make the local shops a success.

Randy’s diverse travel experiences from Western Samoa to the North Shore of Hawaii have given him a unique perspective on life and business. He makes two trips, annually to Oahu and finds the rich culture and beautiful lands, a reminder not to take life for granted.

Randy’s extraordinary outlook on life filters into his business. That positive vibe can be felt as soon as you enter his stores.
