Pacific Beach has become a jewel in the rough to San
Diego. Nearly 25 miles of shoreline surround both beach and bay
residents and businesses.
Travelers from around
the world come to Pacific Beach to Surf, sail, sunbathe and shop. The
hotels run from economy and budget accommodations to upscale resorts.
Restaurants serve world-class cuisine from all edges of the globe. Plate lunches
and Mexican breakfasts rule in Pacific Beach but fresh fish and prime meats are
served by many coastal bistros.
Garnet Avenue and
Mission Blvd. are the main streets in the heart of PB. These drives
offer many nightlife venues, beach bars, music stages and sports clubs. During
the day, you can shop along either street for bikinis and boardshorts. Both
locales offer massage centers, workout facilities and gyms.
Pacific Beach is rich in history and you can dig into the local
culture by visiting Crystal Pier, Kate Sessions Park, or by strolling the
extensive PB Boardwalk. Not quite as uppity as La Jolla and much more
posh than Ocean Beach, PB has an wide array of adventure and excitement to offer
both young and young at heart.
