1. What should I bring
to my lesson?
It’s a beach day! Bring your towel,
drinking water, bathing suit, sunscreen, sunglasses, comfortable
shoes, and a warm sweatshirt.
2. Is the equipment included?
Yes. You will be fitted for a wetsuit
and given a Surfboard.
3. Where should I park?
There is an underground parking garage
with entrances on Reid Street and Pacific Beach Drive.
You will receive a two-hour parking validation at the
end of your lesson. (For further information refer to
Parking Instructions).
4. Where do I go?
Pacific Beach Surf Shop is located at
4150 Mission Blvd., suite 161in the Promenade Shopping
Center.
5. Should I arrive early
for my lesson?
Yes. Arrive 15 minutes before your lesson
is scheduled. This will allow time to meet your instructor,
talk about your Surfing goals, change clothing, and answer
additional questions.
6. Do I need prior Surfing
experience?
No. We have a thorough program that specializes
in first-time Surfers!
7. Should I take a lesson
if I have a lot of experience in the water?
Definitely. A private lesson or clinic will give you the
personal attention required to take the next step in your
Surfing career. We adapt our program to meet your needs.
8. Can my friends watch?
Yes. If friends or family members accompany
you, they will receive beach chairs (from our oceanfront
rental shop), where they may comfortably view the lesson.
Another option is to encourage them to join in on the
fun (add-ons may reduce the rate, depending on the number
of participants).
9. Can I take photos of
the lesson?
Yes. We offer a professional photographer
to document your experience (for an additional fee of
$15), or you can bring a camera from home.
10. Can I keep my equipment
after the lesson is over?
Yes. After the lesson you may keep equipment
up to one hour for only $5. Regular rental rates will
be upheld after this time.
